DESCRIPTION: Active form of recombinant human pro-collagenase (MMP-13) truncated from the C-terminal. Activity determined by cleavage of fluorogenic peptide (1). 50 ng of MMP-13 will digest 75-80% (1.5-1.6 nmole) of fluorogenic peptide substrate (0.1 ml of 20μM solution) at 35°C for 30 minutes (2).
APPLICATION: Use as a reference for assaying MMP-13 or for screening inhibitors

FORM: 100μg/ml solution in 0.05M Tris-HCl buffer, pH 7.6, containing 0.2M NaCl, 5mM CaCl2 , 20μM ZnSO4 , 0.1% BSA and 0.0025% NaN3
